Dora took her first T’ai Chi Chih class with Carmen Brocklehurst in 1984, and she has continued learning from Carmen and going deeper with the practice ever since.

Dora was accredited to teach T’ai Chi Chih in 1989 and accredited to teach the advanced form of Tai Chi Chih, Seijaku, in 1994. She was in the last Seijaku accreditation taught by Justin Stone. Dora is grateful to have studied directly with Justin for many years. He was always teaching.

Dora’s been on the Board of Directors for the T’ai Chi Chih Association and is currently on the Board of Directors for The Vital Force quarterly journal. She is also co-editor of the monthly T’ai Chi Chih News for the T’ai Chi Chih Association. She has held this position since November 2018.

The delight of seeing people become happy with their lives through T’ai Chi Chih practice has always fueled her enthusiasm for sharing T’ai Chi Chih with others.

Dora continues to be active in the Albuquerque T’ai Chi Chih community with outreach, as well as teaching beginners’ classes through teacher prep classes.
