Hello, my name is Mary Buirgy and I am an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher in Northern Colorado. I discovered T’ai Chi Chih in the spring of 2017 at a time when my life and career as an educator were full of stressful demands. Having engaged in meditation practices throughout my adult life, I found T’ai Chi Chih to be a perfect fit for my active lifestyle.
T’ai Chi Chih is a moving meditation composed of 19 movements and one pose which activates, balances, and circulates energy in mind, body, and spirit. As a soothing mindfulness practice, T’ai Chi Chih offers many health benefits, promotes healing, and develops a more peaceful mind.
As I have practiced T’ai Chi Chih, I have felt the release of physical and emotional tension, I am more able to let go of mental “busy-ness”, and have experienced an inner calm that carries me through the day. It is as though I am filling a reservoir of stillness that can be drawn upon at any time! Practicing T’ai Chi Chih supports me in my desire to appreciate ALL of life and to be fully present as I move through each moment.
As a recently retired educator, I find that T’ai Chi Chih provides a daily grounding calm as I explore a whole new lifestyle. I find myself living more and more in a state of GRATITUDE! Thank you, Justin Stone, originator of T’ai Chi Chih, the Northern Colorado T’ai Chi Chih community and all practitioners of this LOVING, JOY-FILLED practice!
