I was introduced to T’ai chi chih in 2008 by accredited teacher Sheila Leonard. After attending a six week class I knew that the practice was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In the spring of 2019 I went to Austin, Pennsylvania and did a week long intensive with Instructor Pam Town. During this week I met many others who for various reasons also found the practice of t’ai chi chih to be an important part of their lives. T’ai chi chih Joy through Movement has inspired me to become an accredited teacher on December 5, 2020 . During the week of accreditation with Danial Pienciak I made a vow to spread the joy of t’ai chi chih to as many people as I can.
For me the practice of t’ai chi chih Joy through Movement has balanced my life in numerous ways and given me the energy and joy that I deserve while I live a healthy and happy life as I enter into my senior years. To be able to do this practice outside on a suspension bridge, along the oceans edge or at the top of the highest mountain in NL, Canada is rewarding in itself.
I have started classes in my community both in person and virtually for people who feel that it is safer to practice in there own home at this time. I start my day with a full practice and as the day unfolds I feel grateful that I have found T’ai chi chih. It keeps me balanced, grounded and the vital force called chi circulates through my body. Justin Stone creator of T’ai chi chih said  Practice Practice Practice with the effort of no effort. The positive energy of the chi moves through us to those around us and out into the world sending the healing Chi and the result of health and well-being is ours.
