For Teachers, Teacher Candidates, and Serious Students

The focus of the Intensive will be on How to Move well for the greatest flow of Chi, Flowing from the Center, Yinning & Yanging correctly, and Moving with Softness.

The heart of the Intensive will be refining & deepening your T’ai Chi Chih practice.

Teachers will learn to develop a discerning eye for seeing what corrections students need, as well as knowing when they are ready for Teacher Accreditation…and when they are not. You will have a wonderful opportunity to connect with other teachers. Also, attending an Intensive course is a recommended component to becoming a Teacher Prep Coach if that is one of your teaching passions.

Teacher Candidates will actively engage in a required part of their learning and preparation for the Teacher Accreditation course, and leave knowing what they still need to work on before Accreditation.

Serious Students (who have practiced regularly for at least a year) will immerse themselves in T’ai Chi Chih, gaining a greater flow of Chi, as well as a deeper understanding and appreciation of this beneficial practice.

The Intensive begins on Wednesday, with check-in between 3pm to 5pm, and ends at 12pm on Sunday. On Wednesday, we will begin with a TCC practice at 5pm, dinner at 6pm, and an introductory group activity at 7pm. Each day, there will be a 7am T’ai Chi Chih practice, a morning and afternoon session, and an evening activity.

Pricing includes 4 nights lodging (single or double occupancy, Wednesday through Saturday nights) and 11 meals (Wednesday dinner through Sunday breakfast).

If flying: You can fly into either the Denver International Airport or the Colorado Springs Airport. The Denver International Airport will probably have cheaper flights, but it is a longer distance to the Retreat Center. Contact the host for transportation information from the airport to the Center.

Partial Scholarships are available. These are granted on a financial need basis. The Scholarship Application Form must be returned at least 30 days before the course. To receive a Scholarship Application form, contact the Course Host.
