T’ai Chi Chih Teacher Accreditation with Trainer Pam Towne.

Requirements: Please see the accreditation and guidelines. Great care has been taken to specifically outline the expectations of teacher candidates. Both candidates and their teachers need to be familiar with the information contained in the accreditation and guidelines sections.

Signature referral by two accredited TCC instructors is required: When the two instructors with whom you are preparing for accreditation are confident that you are ready to attend in November 2019, they will SIGN your Referral Form (download it here or from the Course Host). Send the ORIGINAL signed form to the Course Trainer, Pam Towne (234 Hoover St. Oceanside, CA 92054). Send a COPY to the Course Host, Marie Dotts (652 23rd St. SW, Loveland, CO 80537). This need not be sent with the registration form. It can be sent in later but your reservation in the course is not guaranteed until the Course Host receives it.

Accreditation is not guaranteed by the receipt of the referral form nor by your attendance at the course. Candidates are kept apprised of their evaluation throughout the course of the week. The accreditation certificate is awarded at the end of the course at the sole discretion of the course teacher trainer.

Course Registration: Accreditation week is limited to a maximum of 15 candidates. If you plan to attend, it is important to send in your deposit and registration form as early as possible to reserve your space. Should you later learn that you will NOT be receiving your two accredited TCC teacher signatures, as one or both teachers feel you are not yet ready, your registration will be void and your deposit will be refunded in full if cancelled prior to October 15th.

Course Schedule: The course will begin on Tuesday at 9am and end on Sunday at 12:30pm after lunch.. Plan to arrive between 8:00am and 8:30am on Tuesday There will be morning, afternoon, and some evening sessions. You MUST be able to attend all sessions (morning, afternoon, and evening) in order to be accredited.

COST: Course fee is $525. Room & board is $600 per person for a Double room or $660 for a Single room. The room & board includes 5 nights lodging & 16 meals, Tuesday lunch through Sunday lunch. Your total cost is the combination of the course fee and room and board.

Pre- or post-event Lodging is not available at the Retreat House. Please check online for local hotel information.

Transportation to Santa Barbara is available from LAX Airport through Santa Barbara Air Bus. Rides may be able to be arranged from the Air Bus stop, Santa Barbara Airport or Amtrak Station to the Retreat House upon request. Driving directions will be sent later.

Scholarships are available up to $275 for those who would not be able to attend without financial assistance. The Scholarship Application Form must be returned at least 30 days prior to the course. To receive a Scholarship Application form, contact the Course Host.
