T’ai Chi Chih has a way of entering one’s life at the perfect time and presenting you with exactly what you need. So it has been for me and my journey.
Just when I decided to work toward a teacher accreditation, I found I had cancer. Recovering from surgery and facing the side effects of double radiation treatments, I had already established a daily practice and used it successfully throughout my cancer journey. However, I inadvertently skipped a morning’s practice and by the afternoon, I crashed with an overwhelming fatigue – a symptom I was told I would inevitably experience, but as of yet had not. I couldn’t sum the energy to do my practice that day, but you can bet I didn’t miss a day after that. And I never experienced that fatigue again.
Little did I realize how much T’ai Chi Chih had been helping! Now cancer free, my T’ai Chi Chih practice continues whether at home, on the beach in Costa Rica or in the mountains of Machu Picchu, Peru.
T’ai Chi Chih is a powerful tool for life’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenges.
I have taught seated T’ai Chi Chih to seniors and to those who are mobility challenged. All seem to gain great benefits, some of which may be unexpected but valuable nonetheless. I wish you great joy in your T’ai Chi Chih journey! Much love to you.
