I was first introduced to T’ai Chi Chih in the mid-1970s from a woman traveling through the Pacific Northwest where I resided at that time. She gave the lessons over six or eight weeks at a church in Seattle, Washington. I purchased an instruction book and along with her handouts and lessons was on my own with T’ai Chi Chih for several decades until I discovered the official web page while surfing the net. It was there I learned one needed to become certified in order to teach T’ai Chi Chih. The timing of this knowledge was very serendipitous in that I was about ready to start teaching TCC. This would have been disastrous for there were so many vital parts to this discipline I had missed so many years ago.
I knew T’ai Chi Chih was one of the ways I was blessed to offer healing and unconditional love to my community and friends. This then motivated me to research further to find my own personal accredited instructor, Linda Robinson, and eventually attend the accreditation course in New Mexico to become an accredited instructor.
I have taught many classes through the years and worked with students in country clubs that were golfers to ones wheelchair bound in nursing homes. I love to teach and see the students grow easily and effortlessly with this discipline.
Currently I reside in a small community in New Mexico and offer classes from time to time here in Silver City. May you be always filled with wonder and blessings. Kyrita
