I originally came to T’ai Chi Chih for gentle physical exercise, but 22 years later it has become my spiritual practice. I am eternally grateful to my teacher, Marie Dotts, who introduced me to the grace and depth of this practice. After all these years of teaching I continue to learn. The form never changes, but I do.
T’ai Chi Chih calms me while at the same time giving me renewed energy and stamina. It keeps me grounded and helps me get through stressful challenges. In my work as a textile designer I find it helps me to focus and enhances creativity. It slows me down and puts me in touch with the wisdom of the universe. When I let go and yield to that wisdom I find that things work out without effort. That is the gift of our T’ai Chi Chih practice. It is a great joy and honor to teach this art and see people’s lives change and I cherish the community of students and teachers that T’ai Chi Chih has brought into my life.
