I was introduced to Tai Chi Chih in 1994 and found it the perfect antidote to the dis-ease of modern life.  I was so taken with the form that I flew to the States in 2010, to gain my teacher’s accreditation. Although Im qualified to teach other forms of Tai Chi, I prefer to share TTC, especially with Western beginners. The repetition of the movements means people can start a daily practice from Day 1, immediately reaping the benefits of their effort.
Now I live in the subtropical Bay of Islands, just down the road from historic Marsden Cross. One of the joys of my life is to practise TTC at one of the centres of New Zealand spirituality. I usually stay up at the lookout, gazing down to the beach and the stone Celtic cross that marks the first Christian service held in our country.
It doesn’t get any better than this, for me. There is basic homestay accommodation onsite for those wishing to learn TCC face to face…It’s a meditative environment, surrounded by water and supervised by resident nesting Kiwi and other native fauna and flora.
Liz is the only teacher in New Zealand.
