I began my T’ai Chi Chih journey in 1994-95, taking a beginners class with Chris McClain. After completing the class Chris called and asked if I would like to join a weekly practice with her and other students. I happily accepted. I started to become interested in becoming a teachers after six months or so of practicing weekly with the group. In September of 1996 I was accredited.

I have taught over the years through adult education courses, the Chinese garden in Portland, churches, organized classes at a friend’s studio, and one-on-one.

I had the pleasure of meeting Justin Stone in 2009 and was able to echo what many students before me had told him: T’ai Chi Chih changed my life. I hope to show and share that joy with my students. I continue to attend teachers’ conferences, retreats and workshops to learn and grow in my own practice.
