Hi, it can be a long road sometimes before you wind up knowing where you’re supposed to be. It’s been kind of that way with T’ai Chi Chih. The adventure began some years ago when I decided that I wanted to learn ballroom dancing. There was bit of a problem – coordination of the body seemed to be short-changed. I knew about Tai Chi so I decided to learn that and improve my coordination. I signed up for a class at a local junior college. That worked until the 5th and 6th movements. I was stuck. I spoke to the instructor. She invited me to her home for some private lessons along with some of her other students. No real progress. Some months later I saw a notice about T’ai Chi Chih in a local church bulletin that looked interesting. I went; I had nothing to lose. BINGO! I left the first session knowing I could learn T’ai Chi Chih and I could teach T’ai Chi Chih. Wherever there’s been an opportunity, I have taught it; used it; shared it. Railroad platforms, airport terminals, my Iranian housemate, seated TCC, a tourist from England, my Bosnian neighbor, my kids, adults at an Appalachian summer home in WV, personal use in two MRIs , teachers at a North Syracuse elementary school, BOCES evening class in Lafayette, NY, adults & their children at Onondaga Nation school, Total Wellness Center Camillus NY, Marcellus, NY park & a gym….Are you inquisitive?
