I began learning T’ai Chi Chih with Marie Dotts in March 2014 and was hooked from the first lesson! I was a professional public reference librarian for more than 40 years and easily transitioned to teaching TCC when I retired. In both situations I was and am dedicated to helping others find what they are looking for to improve their lives. I was accredited in 2016 and have been teaching ever since. These days there is nothing I’d rather be doing.
I have been teaching in Greeley for three years at the Banner NCMC hospital in their Wellness Program, and I continue teaching at two independent senior living facilities (Fort Collins is on hiatus, Loveland is using Zoom), and I’m doing Practice in the Park, free drop during the summer in both Loveland and Greeley.
Zoom Classes
I am also teaching a one-on-one Zoom class to one of my son’s work colleagues in Washington, DC. It’s been a great way to bridge generations and distance.
Fun photo captions: At my Nederland, Colorado cabin we have NoCo TCC retreats from time to time. Photo #2 (left to right) is of me with new teachers JJ Johnson and Terry Johnson. Photo #1 is astride a cheetah with “soft” TCC paws at Nederland’s famous carousel.
