Life-changing TCC

T’ai Chi Chih is a mindfulness-moving meditation practice that’s easy to learn. The series of 19 movements and one pose helps circulate the Vital Energy, the Chi. Practitioners experience peace, improved health, and many more benefits. Our free monthly e-newsletter offers inspiration between issues of the TCC quarterly journal, The Vital Force, in which teachers and students tell stories about ways they’ve benefited from the practice.

Those who truly practice note that their attitudes change. – Justin F. Stone, TCC Originator

From the recent issue of The Vital Force:

Change: “Students who don’t practice regularly have no idea what they’re missing. Building a solid relationship with the Chi has opened my heart space. To be joyful is just the start. Compassion, empathy, forgiveness and, most of all, unconditional love for everything and everyone (even for myself) changes you from the inside out. I see the world through a different lens.” – JLM, Antioch, CA

Change: “When I transitioned into partial retirement, I encountered many new challenges. With each unanticipated change, I allowed myself to freak out as waves of uncertainty arrived at our doorstep. With each TCC practice, however, I’ve regained my footing and the wisdom to discern each step, returning again and again to that reservoir of stillness and wisdom. I am grateful that TCC practice forever teaches me to go with the flow and find the often-hidden blessings. Sometimes we need a good freak-out to get through the changing tides of life and then gently return our tired hearts to the calm, restorative energy of the Chi.” – JS, Minneapolis, MN

Shared practice: “What I was truly craving was the depth, support, and consistency I find within the flow of our shared TCC practice. So there we three are, comfortable in our own homes, on different days, spanning time zones from early morning to late at night, but together (on Zoom). This is a heartfelt shout-out to these two people—one in the UK, one in the US—who regularly find the time to practise with me, down here in NZ. The time we spend together places me back in the flow—cruisy and balanced, rather than feeling I’m swept along by a hectic, heedless current.” – LW, Northland, New Zealand

Regular practice: [In TCC practice] we do not heal symptoms; we become “whole.” So, to practice regularly and sincerely is to promote the positive in this world; we reap the benefits. – Justin F. Stone
