Judy Hubbell is a graduate of Juilliard and has performed extensively. She taught Voice for over 37 years for the City College of San Francisco (CCSF) Music Department, and now teaches Mind-Body Health for the CCSF Older Adults Dept. Judy’s Mind Body Health Class in 4 modalities (Breath, Voice, Accessible Yoga, and T’ai Chi Chih) was designed as a course for CA’s Community Colleges for Older Adults and also includes disabled students.
Judy has a strong everyday practice of T’ai Chi Chih and is fascinated with how energy moves in the body; the feeling of slowness and circularity through this moving meditation; and notes how it is possible to control blood pressure and serves as a possible way to target the auto-immune system.
She is a Lifelong Learner and is now studying Qigong. Her certifications as a teacher include many holistic disciplines, but this is her favorite!
Zoom Classes
Most recently Judy has been teaching T’ai Chi Chih on Zoom for several senior centers in SF through Department of Aging and Social Services, and for Fall 2020 is designing more classes that will be on the Canvas site for CCSF.
