I found T’ai Chi Chih through a neighbor of mine. She was practicing T’ai Chi Chih in our community pool and I wondered what she was doing as I hadn’t seen this style before. She talked me into going to a class and from that first class – I felt so relaxed, peaceful. Since I was still working full time in a very physically and emotionally demanding job being able to feel relaxed and peaceful was an amazing gift back in 2015. The practice has brought joy, a different level of awareness of my body, and increased my ability to focus – all through 19 easy moves and one pose
In the classes I attended with my teacher through the years, I saw students come in stressed, frowning, and leaving smiling and laughing. The student’s postures were more upright, the balance was better and all the students said the practice helped them in relieving stress.
I knew I wanted to become a teacher and committed to the program in 2020. Since accreditation, I have ongoing beginner and intermediate classes at Healing Therapies in La Mesa, CA, one-on-one instruction, and classes at a retirement community. I love sharing T’ai Chi Chih with students and I can’t wait to see you in one of the classes!
