I originally came to T’ai Chi Chih to improve my physical balance and mental focus after recovering from an illness. The flowing sense of calm and vitality I observed with my first teacher, Monica Campbell, drew me in to this unique form of moving meditation. Now the practice is as much a valued part of my day as a satisfying meal or a good night’s sleep. It continues to amaze me how such a deep sense of connection can be created in a mostly silent group practice. So does the variety of benefits. As a longtime community college educator, I am grateful to be able to teach and learn together in a community of T’ai Chi Chih teachers and students. The practice is full of possibilities and depth, always new things to explore.
