Transformation

T’ai Chi Chih is a mindfulness-moving meditation practice that’s easy to learn. The series of 19 movements and one pose helps circulate the Vital Energy, the Chi. Practitioners experience peace, improved health, and many more benefits. Our free monthly e-newsletter offers inspiration between issues of the TCC quarterly journal, The Vital Force, in which teachers and students tell stories about ways they’ve benefited from the practice.

“’TCC brings serenity.’” – Justin F. Stone, TCC Originator

From the recent issue of The Vital Force:

Kindness: “I discovered (at Dec. 2022 teacher accreditation) that the benefits of TCC are very different for different people. For some it may open physical blockages or ease illness; for others it helps them be more grounded or structured, less flighty. For me the most important benefit is connected to compassion. Being softer and more relaxed helps me be kinder to myself and more empathetic with others.” — ML, UK

Compassion: “Teaching has given me confidence as a TCC practitioner and as a person.… Over time, my spiritual understanding developed and grew wisdom, patience and compassion for myself and my students. I learned it was wiser, when possible, to offer corrections to the whole group rather than singling people out. I also now speak less, but more specifically, to convey the essence of the routine, to make sure movements are as correct as possible, still honoring each person’s physical limitations. I want students to experience the essence of the whole thing, to sense the flow and really be in their bodies.” — LR, Seattle, WA

Practice: “We can still practice with Justin and be a part of the incredibly special ‘something’ by watching his instructional videos. In one of my Teacher Prep classes, we all watched the instructional part of a Justin video and practiced with him. It was amazing how much we learned! We had a very deep and powerful practice. It was hard to put into words. All of the students were so grateful to have had this experience.” — DW, Albuquerque, NM

Purification: Habit energies formed by negative actions lead us more deeply into the realms of illusion, which is bondage. And this is what we are struggling against. From darkness into light is our aim. Purification of the nervous system is a must. Harmful actions, mental or physical, which leave their stain on the mind and psyche must be dispensed with for our own good. Justin F. Stone
