In-Person Classes

WHAT: Ongoing, all-levels class. Continuing students and Beginners are welcome in every class.
WHEN: Mondays 11:15am – 12:15pm
FEE: $10.Lisa M. Otero has been practicing T’ai Chi Chih for 25 years and was accredited to teach in 2000. She is a student of Carmen Brocklehurst and had the honor to be personally instructed many times over the years by TCC originator, Justin Stone.
Lisa teaches several T’ai Chi Chih classes and practice sessions each week at various locations in Oxnard and Ventura, California.
A retired civil rights attorney, Lisa is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Harvard Law School. She grew up in Oxnard, California, lived in Boston, Massachusetts for 25 years, and is happy to call California home again.
Lisa is also a Hatha and Yin Yoga instructor and a “caretaker member” of the Friendship Sangha of the Heart, a mindfulness meditation group practicing in the tradition of Buddhist Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, which meets weekly via Zoom.
