Zoom Practice

I would like to introduce one of my class participants, Lovena Warren, an accredited T’ai Chi Chih (TCC) teacher for about 25 years. Lovena practices with our free, Zoom TCC practice (weekdays at 10:00 AM PST and Sunday at 9:00AM PST). Essentially, she has returned to the frequency of enagement with the practice that she enjoyed when she was first accredited. (Over the years, her daily practice had gone by the wayside; and had dwindled to about two practices per week.)

As the 86-year-old dynamo pronounced, “I like it. Getting online is an easy, new-fangled thing I can do.” Lovena is from a community in the Midwest where T’ai Chi was frowned upon when she was younger. She also was discouraged from exercising. Now, she notices that her students are encouraged by their doctors to practice yoga and T’ai Chi. How things have improved!

Lovena is the salt of the earth. During 2005 when Level 5 Hurricane Wilma hit South Florida with a vengeance, Lovena introduced TCC to evacuees. After being evacuated four or five times, fellow evacuees requested that Lovena lead them in TCC. She got up on the stage and led children and adults to soothe themselves with the practice.

Now, as then, you can soothe yourself with TCC. Join an online group practice wherever you are.
