Arizona Teacher News (March 1993)
By: Roxann Post
This past year has been one of transition and new opportunities for T’ai Chi Chih teachers in the southern Colorado River area. John and Joy Barbour have relocated to the mountains of Payson, Arizona. (See their news below.) David Smith is now living in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; and Roxann Post will be moving soon to Wendover, Nevada. They all will be sharing the spirit and teaching of TCC in these new areas. Loretta Hopper and Della Alberson will take over John, Joy and Roxann’s classes at Mohave Community College, at both the Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City campuses.
Athena Layne and Sandi DeLeon will continue teaching TCC to students in the Mohave Valley and Needles, CA areas. Despite the distances that now separate many of us, we enjoy getting together whenever possible. We join together in sending chiful love and best wishes to all of our T’ai Chi Chih family.

Letter from Joy and John Barbour
We send our love to all of our T’ai Chi Chih friends. We made our move to Payson on September 19 and were greeted by thunder and lightning and autumn rains. For Joy, having grown up in the Sierra Nevada, it is like coming home, here among the pines–getting settled in a rustic home and reading before the open fire. For those of you unfamiliar with Payson, it is located in the center of Arizona, in what is called the Rim Country, or Zane Grey country. Elevation is about a mile high.
Joy is scheduled to teach TCC to the Elderhostel in Bullhead City seven times a week, or two a month until May. It is the most frequently scheduled class offered the Elderhostel at the Mohave Valley Community College. She says, “I feel very honored to be asked. I enjoy it so much. Classes are between 30 and 40 in size each time. It also permits me to see my Bullhead City friends and meet with the other TCC teachers and students there.”
Two serious students come up from Scottsdale for T’ai Chi Chih lessons, and several others have expressed interest. The Barbours would like to invite their friends to join in T’ai Chi Chih in Sun Valley. Since temperatures range between 13-45° now, perhaps waiting until summer is preferable.

Pritamdas (Peter Worrall) Tucson, AZ writes: I’m teaching again–2 classes in ’92 and I’ll be doing it regularly throughout ’93 at Unity of Tucson. It’s been almost 8 years since I taught regularly and I’m finding the support group and videos, tapes, etc. very valuable. The Vital Force is wonderful. Sorry I’ve waited so long to re subscribe. All things in divine order and time.
