Clear as Day

Recently I was reading the March T’ai Chi Chih News and noted an article from Carmen Brocklehurst written in 2007. One line really resonated: “First you learn the form, then you learn the feeling.” I used in my veterans’ class the next day because one student was really intense and getting frustrated because he wasn’t getting every movement perfectly.

When I returned to re-read the article, looking for other nuggets to share, that line wasn’t there. And yet I can still see it, about two thirds of the way through the last paragraph. Carmen was talking to me as clear as day.

I guess it was to be expected. After all, I was reading this in our T’ai Chi Chih (TCC) room. And as we know, interesting things happen in our TCC rooms.
