Hold summer in your heart

Hold summer in your heart
Lift your face to the sun each day
Remember your Grandmother of the South
And know she’s not left you
The heat of summer blazed quickly
And was gone…Don’t feel alone
Hold summer in your heart
And love the clean blue sky of fall
Watch the leaves turn one by one
She returns to touch them with gold
To light the sky with fire
Hold summer in your heart
