Intensive at Ringwood, NJ: June 2005
By: Dorene Krause
I anxiously looked forward to the Intensive in Ringwood, NJ, as another opportunity to work with Sandy McAlister and Dan Pienciak and to spend time with other teachers and students. The retreat center in Ringwood is a special place for me as it is where I began my journey in T’ai Chi Chih. It is like “coming home.” As I stepped out of my car, I looked around and breathed deeply. The setting is beautiful – nestled in the middle of Ringwood State Park. It is peaceful and brings to mind many memories of learning, forming friendships and deepening my practice. It is a place of self-discovery and letting go for me. I am blessed to be part of the T’ai Chi Chih community, and I am grateful for Sandy and Dan who give so much of themselves.
