Signs of Spring
By: Vickie Brodie
Burlingame, CA
Bright yellow finches sitting on the birdbath
Two mourning doves sitting on the fence
Squirrels running through the tall green trees
Snapdragons continuing their stately bloom
A mosquito buzzed by followed by a bee and a fly
And the heliodropsis is full of buds
The air is just right … neither hot or cold
And filled with scent that smells quite sweet
Spring is definitely here.
