Spring Meditation (March 1997)
The sky a magenta mirage,
as trees stick their twigs in the air,
and fowl in winged procession
proclaim the rebirth of spring.
The stillness of winter is gone,
as buds burst to flower once again,
plum blossoms gracing tree branches
bear witness to cyclical splendor.
