Words from our Guide

By Sr. Antonia Cooper, OSF

In mid-May my religious community will celebrate 150 years of ministry to “women in need” at our Motherhouse in Wuerzburg, Germany. The woman who founded our community, Antonia Werr, worked to restore dignity to incarcerated women in the 1850s, providing them with a home and an opportunity to make a new start in life. I’ll be attending this celebration and will try to spend a few more days in order to take an overnight train to visit the Italian TCC community headed by Christina Minelli. We’ll see how this evolves.
