Working with Senior Students
Over several T’ai Chi Chih classes, I played Carmen’s KNME interviews with Justin for my seniors. They fell in love with Justin. It was so much fun watching them and then listening to their comments about Justin and what he was saying about TCC.
I also played some of Justin’s instructional DVD. They loved that, too. It was funny to hear them say, “Why didn’t you tell us about being soft?” Of course, I have talked about softness many times, but they heard it when Justin said it and demonstrated how to be soft.
I have shared how they can get his DVD or download his teachings on their computers.
I am also co-teaching with the newly accredited teacher Paula Haraldson, a hybrid (live and Zoom) TCC class at Nokomis Community Center. I am amazed that I am doing it and how well it’s going. I share via Zoom some of Justin’s instructional videos so that students can experience Justin (and hopefully order Justin’s instruction for themselves). I think it helps students deepen their practice by going to the source.
It is so much fun seeing my students loving Justin. I love watching them watching him. Today I said, “You can move with him” and when they did, their movements were softer. It gave me goosebumps. Thank you for the resources.
