Conference Connections
My younger son is an independent contractor who coordinates conferences in economic development throughout the world. He and I practice T’ai Chi Chih (TCC) together whenever we happen to be on the same continent. Several years ago, he reached out to say he was organizing a meeting in London focusing on the circular economy. Were there any TCC teachers in England who might be willing to come and lead a practice so the participants could experience the circularity of the energy?
Pam Towne and Sandy McAlister put me in touch with Lesley Nell who made the one-hour trip south from her home to share TCC with these global economists. The video my son sent me afterwards is a joy to behold. Thank you, Lesley.
At this year’s teacher conference in Albuquerque, I met Tina Wells and Adam Lacey, who had traveled from England to join us. They delivered the good news of their work with TCC “across the pond.” Thank you, Tina, for teaching the practice to Adam and Lesley and others. Thank you, Adam, for sharing your dream to develop research on TCC that can promote the mental and psychological health benefits of TCC.
