From 2023 to 2024

The 2023 Teacher Conference inspired me to many things: to deepen my practice; to appreciate the teachers across the world sincerely promoting our practice; to remember the importance and the beauty of community; to be grateful for the talent and wisdom of so many of our teachers; to know that there are so many more out there who were not able to join at that time but have as many gifts; to once again appreciate the value of technology that allows us to be together, not in the ideal way, but still together.

And so it is that I so look forward to once again coming together in Albuquerque in 2024, especially for such a wonderful anniversary. The energy experienced during an in-person conference is palpable and a source of inspiration and encouragement in my practice. The ability to converse with presenters and other teachers spontaneously has such great potential that’s not possible on Zoom. While I recognize that not everyone is able to attend in person, I think it is still a worthwhile effort and I am grateful to the Albuquerque community for agreeing to sponsor it. Having co-chaired this past conference, I realize how much more work it will take for this one. And who knows, by the time of the conference some of our techy members may figure out how to enable a hybrid version for those at home.
