Materials donated to Folsom

A group of teachers, led by Doug Harned, has purchased the entire 13-part videotaped PBS series on T’ai Chi Chih with Carmen Brocklehurst and Justin Stone and is donating it to Folsom Prison with the intention of airing it on the prison TV station so inmates will be able to follow along in their cells.

Also, Good Karma Publishing has donated six slightly-damaged T’ai Chi Chih textbooks to Folsom Prison.

According to James Hecker, inmate and T’ai Chi Chih teacher, there is a need for many more materials, as hundreds of men are sharing them. Due to prison regulations, James cannot receive the materials directly—they have to go to his supervisor. If you are interested in donating materials, send them to The Vital Force indicating their purpose, and we will send them along.
