Oregon Seniors Articulate Favorite TCC Movements
Working The Pulley is my cup of tea. I’m a swimmer, grew up as a swimmer. The arm motions in this movement are similar to the Australian crawl which resonates. Passing Clouds also speaks to me. I find it physical and spiritually helpful; I get in a rhythm and flow that brings a meditative state. — Ellen H.
Joyous Breath helps me to get rid of toxins in my body. The long breath in, the sustained breath coming out. Breathing positively affects meditation, so I am inward with this movement. And I look forward to executing it each Saturday. Passing Clouds is my next favorite movement; its rhythmic quality and smooth movements assist my balance challenge. — Pat McL.
With Passing Clouds I feel God’s presence; it gives me comfort, like going home I’m in a comfortable place. I let everything go and I’m able to meditate while moving. The weight shifting and changing of hands put my body into a definite flow. — Linda L.
My choice movements are Bass Drum (breathe out moving away and inward moving back to my body); Perpetual Motion (I like the flow much like gentle water); and Joyous Breath (I love incorporating this with my deep breathing). — Gordon S.
