Passing Clouds
Passing Clouds is one of the T’ai Chi Chih movements, often taught with attention to the turning waist and swiveling hips. Articles here include teaching tips, close descriptions from several teachers, and reflections on the clarity of no effort and on moving and stilling.
Pam Towne uses Passing Clouds as a reminder to let thoughts drift by without following them, keeping the head facing forward while the waist turns, and describes extended repetitions as moving meditation.
