Reflections on the TCC Retreat
By: Tina O'Connell-Duggan
Retreat Participant
Sitting quietly . . . .
within our midst an abundant bouquet;
holly and day lilies,
a yin and yang of seasons.
We too, separate, yet one,
and all we have . . . . is now.
Above a simple clam shell, a wand of
incense releases its fragrance,
and for each of us . . . . a memory.
My small candle takes its light from
the source, and completes our flickering circle.
Praying with our bodies,
sensing the easy rhythm,
honor the sacred within;
be still . . . be still.
Long days from now to be
renewed with the first gentle movements.
I think we shall not forget . . . .
this time of spirit nurturing.
Your gift that we should know ourselves
more fully, and be . . . . . . . peace.
