Are you considering becoming an Accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher? Lisa would love to help you explore and consider next steps. More information is below. Lisa offers a free online or phone consultation to explore the possibility of working together through this process.Â
Lisa has taught many teacher candidates who have gone on to become teachers, and has been a signatory mentoring teacher for several now accredited teachers, both in person and on zoom. She has studied with senior teachers across the country and has audited or hosted several Intensives and Accreditations, as well as many retreats and workshops. She feels that the principles and subtleties of the movements make a huge difference, and every time she attends a retreat or Accreditation, she gets a new depth of understanding.Â
Each mentoring teacher will have their own mentoring process. Lisa helps candidates develop a personalized program consisting of self-study and attending classes and practices with herself and other teachers, paired with individual mentoring. She works one-on-one or in small groups with candidates so that the time can be used most effectively for individual preparation. Often candidates are focused on the technical aspects, which are indeed important but the flow of the movements is really key to the benefits. She will review the principles as they apply to the movements, refining each movement and focusing on effective weight shifts and the flow of energy.Â
Lisa wants candidates to understand that it is important to be well prepared so you will be ready for the level of depth that Accreditation has, but also that they don’t have to be perfect! The teacher trainer is always rooting for all of the candidates and the team of teacher trainer, host, and auditing teachers all are doing their best to help candidates succeed. The Accreditation course can be a transformative and amazing process. The more well prepared one is, the more they’ll get out of it, and Lisa looks forward to helping you navigate this process.
