Ongoing T’ai Chi Chih Community Class Mondays 10am
Come practice T’ai Chi Chih® (Joy Through Movement!) T’ai Chi Chih is an easy-to-learn, joyful mindfulness practice, or moving meditation, with 19 movements and one pose. T’ai Chi Chih activates, balances and circulates the natural energy, or “Chi,” of the body. Great health benefits for the mind, body, and spirit come from regular practice. This is a great introduction to TCC for beginners as well as those that have been practicing a while. Many T’ai Chi Chih practitioners feel that by practicing this simple, healthy, and life-changing discipline, we bring healing and contribute positive energy not just into our own lives, but into the greater community and the world. We invite you to join us in that endeavor.
In Person and Online on Zoom, Mondays weekly at 9 PT/10 MT/11 CT/12 ET

This class is hybrid – BOTH in-person, and on zoom at 10am MST. Taught by Lisa Stroyan, Doriane Tippet, and Beverly Miles (online). An all-levels class popular with students, teachers, and candidates; beginners are welcome to follow along. This guided practice class has a focus on learning and refining the movements and deepening energy flow.
These classes are open to all, with students learning and practicing at a variety of levels. We suggest that if you enjoy the class, that you plan to attend regularly for 6-10 weeks. We also suggest that students enjoy TCC 10-30 minutes at home on a regular basis. The physical and mental health benefits students see depend on regular refinement and meditative practice.
Join our mailing list to get regular reminders with the link and address. If you cannot make these classes currently, you can also learn online at amytcc.com or at the Senior Center with Marie Dotts. More open zoom practices for those who know the practice are available at https://tcccommunity.net/resources-1
COST: Free! These classes are a community service by the instructors and the church. We collect optional charitable donations for the Share the Plate program at Foothills Unitarian Church, which directly supports organizations who are also seeking to unleash courageous love in Northern Colorado. Past recipients include Disabled Resource Services, Homeward Alliance, Immigrant Freedom Fund, Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and Food Bank for Larimer County. Suggested donation: $7-15 / class or $20-30 / month, but donations aren’t tracked and don’t let it stop you from attending.
TO DONATE: There are two options. Text the dollar amount you want to give and “tcc” to 84321. For example, texting “7 TCC” to 84321 will donate $7. The first time you will need to connect with a couple of questions and add a credit card, after that it’s just the text! You will receive a confirmation and can easily refund the payment if you make a mistake. If you prefer the web interface, go to https://foothillsuu.churchcenter.com/giving and please make sure to select “T’ai Chi Chih” from the dropdown menu – you will have the option to make this a recurring donation.
Contact Lisa for more information or Join our mailing list and get automatic reminders with a link a day before class.
