11 new TCC teachers accredited in Orange County, CA in July

Eleven new teachers were accredited in this transformative week! There was a strong sense of mutual support among the candidates, six of whom were from the local area. Most came well prepared … & those who hadn’t had the benefit of months of Teacher Preparation classes were uplifted by those who had.

The candidates’ sincerity, commitment & willingness to examine every aspect of their practice … to continually let go … to go deeper … produced extraordinary results! The spiritual energy of the facility enhanced the experience. Marty Beery, one of the new teachers, started her first TCC class in the same room just two days after the conclusion of the training. Way to go, Marty!

Auditing teachers commented on how much they learned which served to deepen their practice … & their appreciation for the unlimited depths of T’ai Chi Chih! Many thanks to Ed Altman for a successful training … & for embodying the principles of T’ai Chi Chih.

Candidate writes sincere letter during training week

Pam & Ed,

I came to you seeking so many things, among them your knowledge and your approval, so I could walk through the door of T’ai Chi Chih and join the family. Yet the more I asked, the less you would tell. You would not help me open any doors, or give me your approval, which I desperately needed. Why?

Because they were already there — within me — waiting for me — me — to discover them. By you not telling, I was seeking and finding. You allowed me to discover there was no outside approval, or special doors to walk through (to obtain the special joy of T’ai Chi Chih). The doors had been closed from within. You gently guided the way so the doors that I had unknowingly locked from the inside could open — patiently, slowly and softly — allowing me to discover that inner voice that had always been there, but that I had been too deaf to hear. The teh [power of inner sincerity] allowed me to discover my own wisdom and my own approval. Those things do not come from others but from our inner selves.

The more you quit the outside world and the deeper you look into yourself, the more you realize the joy T’ai Chi Chih has to offer you. As you realize and discover “self”, you realize “self” only gets in the way of T’ai Chi Chih. Allow T’ai Chi Chih to do T’ai Chi Chih.
